About Me
Marcus Whitmore
Science Writer & Growth Biology Enthusiast
I'm a science communicator with a long-standing passion for making complex biological concepts accessible to students and curious minds alike. My journey into growth biology started with a simple question in my teenage years—why can't cells just keep growing forever?—and it's fascinated me ever since. I spend my days researching cellular mechanisms, crystal formation, and organismal development, then translating those findings into clear, jargon-light explanations. Outside of writing, I'm an avid amateur microscopy hobbyist and keep a small indoor garden where I observe plant growth firsthand. I live with my two rescue cats and a sourdough starter that I use as a living lesson in microbial growth patterns.
